Linden - Lindenia - Iconography of Orchids
Just occasionally I come across something quite exceptional, and I think this comes in to that category. The originals on which these volumes are based were a monthly publication running from 1885 – 1906, and had high quality illustrations of species along with descriptions. This is a high quality facsimile reprint of the original illustrations, along with an English translation of the text, published in 1993 in five volumes. 814 full page colour plates and one or two pages of descriptions, distribution, history etc per plate. I have been fortunate to find a few NEW copies of this fabulous set of books. Please note that this set weighs around 15kg. 1993 13 x 9 ¾ 2300 pages
